To increase and stimulate the public’s interest in engineering, the outreach team hosts many events at public schools, museums, community centers etc. For example,we recently took the solar car to Hay Branch Elementary School in Killeen for their career fair. In October and November we did many events, including UT’s Family Weekend, a Samsung high school event, and Engineering Day at James Madison High School (San Antonio). We participate in UT’s Edison Lecture Series, Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day, and Explore UT every fall.

During the events the attendees will learn about solar energy through presentations about solar power and through hands on experiments.
